Tennis (Grp Preliminary) - Hall 6 vs Hall 8

Published by Publications Team | Filed under Tennis

Score: 5 – 0 (Hall 6 win)

Unbeaten. The Hall 6 tennis team continued to force feed our competition with generous servings of zeros. The opening Men’s Doubles was played by Benny and Edwin, who thoroughly entertained with their yin and yang combination at play at the court. Benny’s moves were fluid and flighty with his hits while those powerful serves from Edwin were nearly herculean. They definitely made good partners on the court with their different strengths combined, winning the set at 6-0.

Weelin and Shijing were up next in the women’s doubles. Weelin played steady for her game, it makes one wonder how someone with such composure can allow her to return all the fast balls with such calmness, gaining the second set at 6-0. Definitely intriguing.

Elisabeth and Jinghan paired up for the mixed doubles .The duo coined as “long term friends” by the crowd had group dynamics going for them .The Eighters were clashing into each other which was starkly differing from the chemistry between Elisabeth and Jinghan as they played seamlessly together. The set score was 6-1 to Hall6.

The ladies singles was played and won with a set score of 6-0, by a strong lady with her fast moves and quick reflexes. She is none other than Samantha Soh, the bronzed lady on the court.

Kristian ended the day by gaining the last of the 5 sets, not without first infusing the crowd with his energy in the male’s singles as he darted about the court like a racing green car that returns balls. The blazing sun was not a nemesis for him.

A job well done by the tennis team! With 2 wins in the bag, they will be proceeding to the Quartnerfinals, which will be held 29th of December.
