Score: 0-1 (Hall 6 loss)

The match started out promisingly for us as our team had the leverage in terms of possession. At first, they made a few threatening attempts at goal. In particular, one shot missed the goal by inches and ended up in the side netting. Though both teams fought valiantly, the first half ended a stalemate with the score at 0-0.

The half-time break did not douse the fighting spirit of the players as the game resumed. In what could have been Hall 11’s first genuine foray into our striking circle, they put a precise shot past our keeper at the far post and led 0-1. Even though both the team and the supporters were disappointed, the hall 6 team fought hard to equalize while the supporters cheered even louder. As hard as we tried, we couldn’t find a way past the defence as they sat back and defended their lead and the match ended 0-1.

Although our players played with more passion and showed that they wanted to win the game more, the seemingly more experienced team won. Our team may have been disappointed but they’ll definitely learn from this experience and improve on their game for the next match.
