This competition was a one day event and was one not to be missed, especially for the hall 6 faithful. Each hall was represented by 2 teams of 5 and the race flagged off at about 9am. Fu Hang and Daryl gave our hall a great start as they completed their leg among the leaders in 7:36 and 7:40 respectively. Jian Liang and Jasmin took over from them and managed to keep up with the pacesetters as they finished in 8:00 and 9:41.

Receiving the tag from Jian Liang, Eileen strode into pole position and finished on top of the pack in just 8:51 while Satiish, taking over from Jasmin, overtook a few competitors to finish in 7:39. Picking up the momentum from Eileen, Ah Boon managed to retain the lead by completing the leg in 7:55 while Shaz finished the 4th leg in 10:02 before passing on to Chee Yong.

The last runners for both teams were Weizhe and Cheeyong and indeed, we left the best for the last as they finished in what could have been their personal bests of 7:15 and 6:57 respectively. Overall our teams came in 1st and 7th while the overall result for hall 6 was… Champions!

It was a proud accomplishment for the entire road relay team as they had trained hard over the past few months and showed extreme determination and discipline to give hall 6 its first gold medal of this Inter-hall Games.
