A warm greeting to our fellow Sixians!!!!

My name is Jimmy and I’m very grateful to Hall 6 for giving me a chance to serve all of you as the 23rd Cultural Director for Hall 6. Currently, I’m a Year 2 student Majoring in Computer Science under the School of Computer Engineering.

Running for a JCRC post had not really struck my mind before during my past year of staying in Hall 6 as I felt that I can contribute to the hall the same way as the other being a Sub-Committee member and a Cheerleader. However, after working in the Events Industry for quite some time, my passion in doing Event Management grew stronger. At the same time, I became involved in the Cultural Scene in Hall 6 by being a performer during the Cultural Night ’09. The possibility and challenge in managing events like this became clearer to me which eventually turned into an immense interest in running for the related JCRC post of Cultural Director.
Another reason for the decision in running for the JCRC post, is also very much in showing my appreciation to my friends around in Hall 6. Having missed the HSOC ’09 due to National Service commitments, the feeling of being left out of the Community kicked in when I saw a lot of people having a lot of fun and enjoying the friendship made during the camp. It was then when I decided to give it a try in turning up for the Hall’s Dinner and Dance last year in the purpose of knowing more of the people whom I am going to stay with for at least the rest of the Academic Year. Never did I know that I would meet Bryan who brought me around that night to introduce me to a lot of people. I would like to take this chance to show my fullest gratitude to him as if not for him, I would not have made so many good friends in such a short period of time.

The last reason, yet not the least of all, is that I love to see the happy and contented faces of our Hall 6 residents. All of them, whether they are performing, or they are watching, I will strive my best in providing the best environment and platform for them as I believe that they themselves will certainly enjoy what they are performing and/or watching when the surrounding factors are ensured at its best.

To all the residents, please do not hesitate to give me suggestions or even criticisms as I always keep an open mind for constructive and creative ideas.

To my Sub-Committee members, let us co-operate and do our best together to achieve the vision that I had set which is to provide the best platform for our performers and residents.
